HydrEpoxy
300

HydrEpoxy 300 is the longest serving member of the
HydrEpoxy family of products having been used in excess of 30 years
with only minor modifications to comply with legislative requirements.
The performance of product has recently been improved to meet the
increasing demands required of its application. Much improved chemical
resistance and a 25% reduction in the water vapour transmission
allow it to continue to be the leader in its field. Used as a stand
alone product because of its exceptional properties, HydrEpoxy 300
is also used extensively as a preparatory coating to overcome deficiencies
in other types of products. HydrEpoxy 300 Approved for use
with potable or drinking water under AS/NZ 4020. Conforms to the
Australian Building Code as a vapour barrier in construction. Resists
250kPa (25 metres head of water) hydrostatic pressure on the side
opposite the water pressure. Can be applied to wet and freshly laid
("green") concrete. The major applications of HydrEpoxy
300 where the product has a proven history are:-
- As a waterproof membrane for the internal surfaces of water
containment tanks such as potable water tanks and fire water
tanks.
- As a waterproof liner for aquariums and architectural fish
ponds.
- As an internal waterproof coating in subterranean basements
and lift wells which are less than 25 metres underground.
- As a water stop coating when applying water sensitive coatings
such as acrylics and polyurethanes.
- As a barrier coat over fresh green concrete before applying
other generic type coverings to accelerate construction programs
dramatically.
- In conjunction with HydrEpoxy 256 to form an optimum performance
binding/base coat system for subsequent coatings.
- Mixed with cement to form a decorative cement paint.
